Proposal to take action on the heads of Indian IT companies:-
Fake news becoming viral in social media has became a
big problem for the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi itself has appealed
to people not to spread the mess on social media itself. Due to the situation
of violence due to the Fake News in India, the government can take a big
decision. In fact, the high government committee suggests that action
should be taken against social media chiefs in spreading news of Fake News.
According to the secret information, 40 people have died in past one year in
the violence of fierce mob due to fakes news on social media platforms. After
which a committee of secretaries discussed this issue.
An official said: 'India has representatives of all global social media platforms:-
The Inter-Ministerial Committee chaired by Home Secretary Rajiv Gaba has submitted its report to the Group of Ministers headed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh who will give their recommendations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. An official said: 'India has representatives of all global social media platforms. If this does not remove objectionable content and videos from your site then action can be taken against them. The top officials of different ministries and departments discussed the role of Internet platforms during the investigation into the violence of the frenzied crowd, in the cases of communal tension, in different states.During recent meetings with the representatives of Twitter India, Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube, government officials have made it clear that the guidelines issued on social media platforms must be followed without delay. If this is not done, then action will be initiated against them against the law.Social media has emerged as a means of bringing people closer, so that any news spreads very far in faraway places. We all know this, but one study has said that this platform is used in spreading false news in the same way as ordinary news.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology said that false news spreads six times faster than social media:-
A study in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology said
that false news spreads six times faster than social media. 1.26 lakh news
items were tweeted on Twitter for microblogging website Twitter between 2006
and 2016 for this study. During this, it was seen that false news 70 per cent
more repetitive.Chief researcher and researcher Deb Roy says that finding
the right news and reaching 1500 people takes six times more time. Professor
Roy says that false news or information goes far further to more people than
true news. This study has been published in Science magazine.Professor Roy runs MIT's Laboratory for Social Machines and
has also been a former Chief Media Scientist of Twitter. He said that his team
was surprised and bewildered by the results of the study. This study will put
new light on our online contact system. Also, it is easy to understand the
fundamental aspect of sharing any information on social media. The researchers decided to study this after seeing the
misleading news on social media after the bomb blasts that took place during
the Boston Marathon in 2013. The news of the death of an eight-year-old girl
was reported in this blast. It was said in the news that the girl was running
in memory of people killed in Sandy Hook School massacre a year ago. This news
was false, because the children were not allowed to run in this marathon.
Researchers say that there are no special motives for spreading such news
Many other similar stories often float on social media, some
of which are quite fatal. Researchers say that there are no special motives for
spreading such news. It can be a way to attract people's attention to yourself. It is being reported on some social media sites such as
Facebook and WhatsApp that all the country's banks will remain closed from
September 2 to the next six days. In these messages, it is being warned that
cash withdrawal of ATM may be due to closure of banks, so take out the required
cash beforehand. From birth to festival like Janmashtami, it also creates fear
in people's mind. But this news is just a rumor and the truth behind it is
something else.Ashwani Rana, Vice President of National Organization of
Bank Workers Association, told Amar Ujala that this news is completely rumored.
The truth is that on Sunday 2 September, all the banks will be closed due to
Sunday. Banks will be closed on September 3 due to leave on Janmashtami
festival in certain states of the country. But in many states like Delhi, there
is no holiday on September 3, hence, on September 3, the bank will not be
closed in Delhi. On September 4 and 5, some employees of the Reserve Bank of
India will be on a collective leave for some of their demands. Due to this,
work can be effected on the 4th and 5th of September in the Reserve Bank. But
affecting the work in the Reserve Bank will not make any difference to the
other banks and they will act as normal days.
Ashwani Rana said, the news of closure of banks is merely a rumor and not to push it forward:-
According to Ashwani Rana, even on September 6 and September
7, banks will have complete normal operation in banks. However due to Saturday
and Sunday due to the next two days i.e. eight and ninth September the bank
will be closed according to the general rules. He said that the news of closure
of banks is merely a rumor and not push it forward. On such occasions, such reports are being run on social
media, due to which the fear of the common man arises. Because of this many
problems of many people increase. Therefore, anyone should be advised only
after confirming that the news is correct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi itself
has appealed to prevent rumors from going ahead with social media.First of all, you should go to any news source. You have to
recognize that the news has come to you through the news source. And is that
News Source worth relying on? Apart from this you can confirm that news from
any other news source. If you get the news on any other news source, then you
can rely on it, but if it does not happen, then it can also be a fake news.Often fictitious photographs are used to make Fake News
Viral. Somewhere, the picture is added and added. For this reason, Pakistan
also got exposed on the biggest platform of the world. That is why it is very
important that only photos on Viral may be trusted on Social Media, when they
have come to you through any reliable news source. Many times, the Agenda of
Fake News is also carried out by the help of statements of a bigger person.
That's why next time you have got fake news while quoting a big man, then be
sure to check that they have said this or not?
